FOOTCARE FOR CHILDREN

A child's legs and feet reach certain developmental and growth milestones at various times. Therefore, it is important that children progress through these comfortably and here at Kid’s Podiatry we can help with that.

Some conditions may outgrow themselves naturally, but many need some form of intervention.

Here at Kid’s Podiatry we recommend a comprehensive paediatric podiatry assessment if children:

• are experiencing pain in their feet, knees, hips, ankles and / or legs

• they walk or run awkwardly

• have flat feet, knocked knees or other lower limb alignment issues

• a family history of foot problems

• skin and nail issues (eg. warts or ingrown toenails)

• a history of nuerological condition

Other typical conditions we see include foot and leg abnormalities, inherited conditions, poor walking positions, late walking or growing pains.

We assess and treat children from 2 days old through to early adulthood.
